Class 1 Yard Shunt Driver 1,500 Sign-On Bonus

Midland Transport is currently seeking a Class 1 Yard Shunt Driver based in Truro NS - $1 500 Sign-On Bonus. The selected candidate will be a reliable person with a strong work ethic great and positive attitude with a commitment to providing a Superior Quality service.

Main Role:
Manage time and ensure accurate and timely movement of the trailer in and out of the Terminal doors. Also dock work when needed.

Shift: Sun-Thurs (23:30-08:00)

Moving trailers within the terminal safely and efficiently.
Refuel refrigerated units as required.
Perform routine checks on the reefers and conduct yard checks.
Maintain company equipment standards.
Ensure timely movement of trailers to assigned locations.
Communicate efficiently with the Supervisor.
Report any incident accident injury damage immediately.

Education Required: High School or GED.
Class 1 drivers license with a minimum of 2 years safe tractor driving experience required.
Clean drivers abstract and criminal search.
Good communication skills.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Able to lift to 75 lbs. using the proper equipment.
Excellent work ethic and reliability.
Safety conscious.
