Class 1 Line Haul Switch Driver, Great Wages!!

• Operate a Class 1 commercial vehicle on a line-haul route from Sunday night to Thursday night departing Prince George at 10:30 pm

• Execute freight transfers in Quesnel and switch trailers in Williams Lake with a possible return stop in Quesnel before returning to Prince George

• Finish shift doing some shunting and/or local deliveries as required

• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections of equipment and document findings on an Electronic Logging Device (ELD) in compliance with regulations

• Ensure all freight is properly secured and loaded to prevent damage loss or insurance claims

• Maintain accurate logbooks and delivery documentation including bills of lading and delivery confirmations

• Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to management immediately

• Adhere to all Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and maintain a safe driving record

• Communicate effectively with dispatch warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery status and any delays or issues

Qualifications :

• Class 1 license
• 1 year of pick-up and delivery experience
• Knowledge of the area is an asset
• Reliable and dependable
• Deck experience is an asset
• TDG WHMIS and Forklift experience are an asset
• Must be able to provide a criminal record check and 2 work-related references  
• A current drivers abstract
