Hatch is seeking aCivil Engineering Studentto join our Infrastructure Rail team based out of theVancouver British Columbia this role you will be working on major railway projects in Western Canada.

As the successful candidate you will:

• Produce all levels of drawings from concept to detailed design
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary design teams to develop functional designs in accordance with regulations laws and design standards
• Maintain high-quality standards through quality control processes

You bring to the role:

• Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering Degree or Diploma at an accredited University or College.
• Knowledge of current technical engineering codes and practices.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word Excel PowerPoint Access Outlook).
• Problem solving skills and analytical.

Competencies (knowledge skill attributes):

• Proficiency in Civil 3D is considered an asset
• Ability to deal with competing priorities and manage time appropriately
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Shows critical and creative thinking problem solving and brings forward solutions for our clients toughest challenges

Candidates are expected to work from Hatchs downtown Vancouver office full time for the duration of the work term. This position is available for a 4-month or 8-month work term starting January 2027.

Compensation:

Range: $26.00 - $34.00

At Hatch we are committed to fair and equitable compensation accordance with legislated pay transparency requirements the expected salary range for this position is based on current market data and aligned with internal pay structures to ensure consistency and fairness.

Your individual compensation within this range will depend on factors such as skills experience qualifications and addition to base pay our total rewards package may include performance-based incentives comprehensive benefits and other programs designed to support your well-being and growth.
