Civil Engineering Graduate Highway Planning and Design

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineering Graduate - Highway Planning and Design for our Transportation team based in Markham Ontario.

This position is for a newly created position with a target start date of January or May 2027.

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

• Working within the Highway Design group on the planning and design of provincial highway facilities
• Preparation of reports construction plans and technical specifications
• Collaborating with design teams consisting of multidisciplinary design engineers technicians and planners
• Working under the supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member and assisting with tasks including preparing engineering-related calculations drawings and visual aids
• Following corporate quality procedures

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be completing or have completed a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Transportation Highway or Roadway Engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of industry-standard computer software for the position such as AutoCAD Civil 3D MicroStation AutoTurn InRoads/OpenRoads and InfraWorks
• Relevant internship or professional work experience supporting transportation design
• Strong problem-solving decision-making and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with spreadsheet word processing Microsoft Project and standard office software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
