About the Opportunity
As a Chiropodist you will play a key role in providing specialized foot care services to individuals and families within the community particularly those who may be underserved or at higher risk. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative multidisciplinary healthcare team making a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities
Provide assessment diagnosis treatment and education related to foot care including wound management orthotics and footwear assessments
Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation and participate in audits case conferences and referrals
Contribute to the development and evaluation of health promotion and treatment programs
Support administrative functions such as ordering supplies and orthotics
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and participate in group initiatives
Precept students and support learning where applicable
Perform other duties within scope of practice
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree from a recognized university
Diploma in Chiropody from an accredited institution
Registration in good standing with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario
35 years of relevant clinical experience (community health hospital or private practice)
Experience working with diabetic patients is considered an asset
Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g. PS Suite Nightingale)
Skills & Attributes
Strong communication problem-solving and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
Cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse populations
Proficiency with medical software and technology
Additional language skills are an asset
Working Conditions
Work across multiple clinic locations within Scarborough
Flexibility required for occasional evenings and weekends
Participation in team and staff meetings
