Additional responsibilities:This position is split between Matheson West and Milverton. Cook will begin at Matheson West location and work together with Mathesons cook to prepare for both centres. At 11:00am cook will then transfer to Milverton and finish off at our location.

No evenings or weekends!

What will you be doing

As a Cook you will prepare nutritious meals for breakfast lunch and snacks for the children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Organizing orders for bulk food weekly and daily shopping as needed.
• Preparing meals from a set menu with recipes provided weekly.
• Ensuring safety and sanitization in the kitchen environment as per Public Health requirements.
• Understanding dietary restrictions in center for individual children.
• Working 2 hours at the Matheson West center to assist the lead cook
• Transferring food back to Milverton location
• Washing dishes after meals.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Food Handling Certification
• Meet province requirement for childcare employment
• Current Standard First Aid and Infant Child CPR
• Effective time management skills
• Experience cooking for large groups would be an asset
• This position requires the successful candidate to have a valid drivers license
