Certified Journeyperson Trades Position – Maintenance Crew

We are currently seeking an experienced dedicated and proactive tradesperson to join our maintenance team here at Edson Forest Products.

As a key player in our sawmill maintenance team you will be responsible to ensure the ongoing functionality and safety of our machinery and equipment.

Youll Do:

• Welding and gouging on a wide range of equipment and machinery
• Performing repairs and rebuilding mill components
• Fabrication and welding of multiple material types
• Assisting other trades throughout the mill
• Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and procedures at all times
• Conducting routine inspections and addressing any maintenance issues promptly
• Implementing preventive maintenance strategies to extend the lifespan of machinery

You have:

• Certified Trade Journeyperson
• Ability to work independently and efficiently with strong problem-solving skills
• Proven experience in maintenance within a sawmill or similar industrial setting
• Ability to read drawings and identify equipment components
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical equipment
• Flexibility to work in shifts and respond to emergency maintenance requests
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures within an industrial setting
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues
• Good with working at heights
• Great troubleshooting skills
