Capital Improvements Technician
Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Capital Improvements Technician to support in-suite upgrades and portfolio improvement initiatives across our residential communities. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working on a variety of unit enhancement projects and takes pride in delivering high-quality finishes.
Responsibilities
In addition to the duties typically expected of a renovation & capital improvements worker responsibilities will include;
- Complete in-suite upgrades including installation of flooring trim doors and hardware.
- Perform tile installation for kitchens bathrooms and entryways including proper preparation and layout.
- Carry out surface repairs such as patching and smoothing walls to prepare for finishing.
- Install and replace interior features such as baseboards casings and other finishing elements.
- Identify and address minor deficiencies throughout the upgrade process to ensure a high standard of quality.
- Complete final detailing and touch-ups to ensure units are ready for presentation and occupancy.
- Collaborate with external contractors when required to help ensure timely completion of work.
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience completing residential upgrades or unit improvements.
- Strong practical skills in areas such as finishing work ceramic tile installations and general repairs.
- Ability to complete tasks independently with a high level of attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills.
- Must have basic personal tools; additional equipment will be supplied.
- Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle is considered an asset.
- Physically able to perform manual tasks including lifting bending and extended periods of movement.
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
Additional Information
- All successful candidates will be required to complete a criminal record check and provide professional references as a condition of employment.
The expected hourly wage for this role is between $25 - $28 per hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined based on the successful candidates skills experience and other job-related requirements.
