Job Summary

Role: Business Systems Analyst Banking (API SQL & Agile)

Location: Toronto ON

Work Style: Hybrid (4 Days Onsite)

Role Overview

The Business System Analyst will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to gather analyze and translate business requirements into detailed system specifications. The role requires strong analytical skills banking domain experience and hands-on exposure to APIs SQL and Agile delivery environments.

Key Responsibilities

Work with business users to gather and define system requirements and specifications

Translate business requirements into technical specifications with minimal guidance

Apply business systems knowledge to ensure all functional areas are addressed

Collaborate with technical teams to support solution design and implementation

Perform API testing and validation using REST APIs and Postman

Support data analysis and reporting using SQL and analytical tools

Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and reviews

Lead requirements gathering sessions and stakeholder discussions

Ensure documentation of business rules workflows and system processes

Required Qualifications

8 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst

Strong experience in banking or financial services domain

Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements

Hands-on experience with APIs (REST) and Postman

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

5 years experience in BFSI environment as BSA

3 years experience in SQL / data analysis tools

5 years experience in requirements gathering and leadership

5 years experience in Agile methodology

Exposure to Cloud AI or Machine Learning concepts

Technical Skills
