THE OPPORTUNITYWe have an opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our award-winning firm in the Vancouver YOULL DOThe Business Analyst partners with business stakeholders and technology teams to identify business needs analyze processes document requirements and support the delivery of strategic initiatives. The role is responsible for translating business objectives into actionable requirements and ensuring solutions align with organizational goals and regulatory Analysis and Requirements ManagementElicit analyze and validate business requirements through stakeholder interviews workshops and process reviewsDevelop clear documentation including business requirements functional specifications user stories and process mapsTranslate business needs into actionable requirements for technical teamsSupport solution design to ensure alignment with business objectivesProcess ImprovementAnalyze current business processes and identify opportunities for efficiency and automationDocument current-state and future-state workflowsRecommend process improvements to reduce operational risk and improve client and employee experiencesAssist in the development of business cases and cost-benefit analysesProject DeliveryCollaborate with project managers vendors and cross-functional teams to support project executionParticipate in planning testing implementation and post-implementation activitiesTrack requirements throughout the project lifecycleIdentify and manage risks issues and dependenciesTesting and Quality AssuranceDevelop test scenarios and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)Validate delivered solutions against documented requirementsCoordinate defect resolution and business sign-off activitiesStakeholder CommunicationBuild trusted working relationships with business units technology teams and vendorsFacilitate meetings to support alignment decision-making and issue resolutionPresent findings recommendations project updates and supporting documentation to stakeholders and leadershipCOMPETENCIESAnalysis Assess quantitative and qualitative data information or situations to understand the most important details identify patterns or meaning and translate it into useful recommendations decisions or actionsChange Management Create strategies plans and solutions that guide people and teams through change to ensure smooth transitions buy-in and sustained outcomesConsulting Conduct discovery plan and design solutions implement strategies and provide advice to stakeholders within the firm to solve challenges achieve target state and/or improve performanceProcess Improvement and Documentation Uncover understand document optimize and communicate processes to make them more efficient effective and consistentProject Management Plan coordinate execute and oversee projects balancing time resources and scope to achieve objectives support stakeholders and meet deadlinesRequirements Gathering Discover identify document and validate business needs to inform system or vendor selection solution development and/or project planningSoftware Development Design build deploy and maintain software solutions to meet functional and technical requirementsKNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE3 years of Business Analysis experience delivering on business and technology projectsExperience in investment management wealth management brokerage or related financial services environmentsBachelors degree in Business Administration Information Technology Computer Science Finance or a related fieldExperience with Agile Waterfall or hybrid project methodologiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communicationProficiency with Microsoft 365 applicationsExperience with tools such as JIRA Azure DevOps Confluence Visio or similar platformsExperience with SQL Server administration and development as well as report development using SQL Server Reporting Services is an assetExperience with Agile Waterfall or hybrid project methodologiesPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSCBAP CCBA PMI-PBA or similar certificationKnowledge of Canadian financial services regulations including CIRO Client Focused Reforms privacy requirements and operational controlsExperience with portfolio management systems CRM platforms trading systems digital client onboarding cybersecurity initiatives or related business technology platformsSUCCESS MEASURESDeliver clear high-quality business requirements that support effective solution design and implementationIdentify and recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency consistency and user experienceSupport strategic initiatives from discovery through implementationBuild trusted relationships with business and technology stakeholdersEnsure solutions meet business objectives regulatory expectations and user needsWHAT WE OFFERA culture of openness collaboration and respect is foundational to our firm.
