Building Maintenance Technician ()

Job Duties:

• Perform routine inspections minor maintenance and basic repairs of facility equipment building systems doors docks and exterior property elements to support safe and efficient operations.
• Conduct visual inspections and basic readiness checks of safety equipment including eyewash stations safety showers fire extinguishers first aid kits AED stations ladders lockout stations and fall protection equipment while reporting deficiencies as required.
• Support preventive maintenance and seasonal shutdown activities including cleaning inspections sump pit and drain maintenance and completion of assigned PMs and work orders within the CMMS.
• Support GMP facility maintenance activities including repairs to walls floors ceilings doors and finishes completion of GMP inspections deficiency tracking and closure of GMP-related work orders.
• Respond promptly to manufacturing and operations maintenance requests within GMP and production areas to minimize operational disruptions.
• Install maintain and update approved visual management materials including signage labels floor markings vinyl graphics and shadow boards in coordination with Engineering EHS QA and Operations teams.
• Coordinate vendor and contractor activities by facilitating access escorting contractors supporting pest control and regulated inspections and confirming completion of assigned work.
• Perform general housekeeping support and visual inspections in battery handling spill response fitness and material handling equipment areas escalating issues as required.
• Work in compliance with GMP standards site SOPs and all applicable health and safety requirements.

Qualifications :

• 3-5 Years previous experience
• Building handyman trade experience with Red Seal preferred 
• Experienced building operator experience is a very strong asset
• Must be reliable be trustworthy and able to work unsupervised.
• Strong Safety compliance and awareness is critical
• People skills essential must be able to interact with staff and be the face of Sodexo in the building
• Computer skills will be required for the job (Word Excel Email MS Office etc.)
• Experience with maintenance management software Maximo or other is a very strong asset
