Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to support critical data governance privacy and regulatory readiness initiatives within a leading banking environment. The ideal candidate will act as the liaison between business stakeholders data governance teams privacy offices and technology teams to ensure successful completion of prerequisite activities required for program execution.

The candidate will be responsible for driving data mapping validation resolving metadata and registration issues supporting privacy impact assessment activities and ensuring timely stakeholder decisions and approvals.

Key Responsibilities

Data Governance & Mapping Validation

  • Validate and analyze RMR-to-DAF mappings to ensure completeness accuracy and compliance.
  • Identify data lineage mapping and metadata gaps requiring remediation.
  • Collaborate with business and data teams to define corrective actions and track closure.

Privacy & Regulatory Readiness

  • Support Privacy Designates and business stakeholders in completing required Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) updates and rebuild activities.
  • Ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are understood documented and addressed.
  • Track dependencies and readiness criteria related to privacy and governance controls.

Program Readiness & Governance

  • Manage approvals issue resolution risk tracking and stakeholder follow-ups to prevent delays.
  • Monitor pre-requisite activities and proactively identify risks impacting execution readiness.
  • Prepare status updates executive summaries and governance reports for leadership review.

Subject Matter Expertise

  • Serve as a primary SME during the pre-requisite and readiness phase.
  • Provide guidance on data governance metadata management privacy requirements and process compliance.
  • Accelerate transition from planning and readiness activities into execution.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business Information Systems Computer Science or related discipline.
  • 7 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst Business Analyst or Data Governance Analyst.
  • Strong experience in banking financial services or highly regulated industries.
  • Experience working with data governance metadata management data lineage and regulatory compliance initiatives.
  • Proven ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholder groups and drive issue resolution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Bank data governance processes and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) data risk management and regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC) metadata repositories and data governance tools.

The expected compensation for this role ranges from CAD 100000 to CAD 150000 .
