Job Summary

Role - Big Data Admin / Developer

Location Mississauga ON (Hybrid)

Experience - 8 years

Type - Full-Time Permanent

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
Mandatory Requirements
Strong hands on experience with Hadoop ecosystem and Starburst/Trino.
Proven expertise in automation and scripting (Python/Shell).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in enterprise or regulated environments preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Act as L3 escalation for Hadoop and Starburst production incidents.
Ensure platform stability performance and high availability.
Manage and optimize Starburst/Trino clusters and query performance.
Implement and enforce data governance security and compliance controls.
Automate red/green processes including incident remediation access management and health checks.
Lead RCA incident bridges and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with L1/L2 teams and mentor junior engineers.
Generic Managerial Skills If any
Coordinate with all the stakeholders.
