Job Summary
Are you an experienced Benefits Analyst with a strong background in group benefits and a passion for delivering exceptional client service Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and client-focused professional to join their team on a 12-month contract providing maternity leave coverage with the potential to transition into a full-time permanent position following the contract.
As a Benefits Advisor you will be responsible for supporting a portfolio of group benefits clients providing expert guidance on plan administration renewals changes and day-to-day client needs. You will work closely with clients insurers and internal teams to ensure benefit programs are effectively managed and clients receive timely knowledgeable support.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the group benefits industry excellent communication and relationship-management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. What Youll Do:
- Drive strategic impact Perform annual renewal analysis and negotiate with carriers to ensure the best outcomes for clients.
- Analyze and optimize benefits plans Conduct experience reporting budget projections and plan performance reviews.
- Shape the future of benefits Contribute to the design and management of group medical dental life disability and special risk benefits.
- Provide expert guidance Conduct market analyses compare costs and make strategic recommendations.
- Ensure seamless execution Assist with carrier/product implementations and review benefit booklets and contracts for accuracy.
- Be a trusted partner Build strong relationships with clients carriers and internal teams to drive success.
- 5 years of experience in group benefits with a deep understanding of the Canadian benefits landscape.
- Financial acumen Strong analytical skills and experience in benefits underwriting and financial reporting.
- Tech-savvy mindset Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Attention to detail Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Required Skills:
QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of university degree or equivalent experience Experiences in Quality Management Software and Processes Minimum of 5 years of Quality Assurance experience Insurance Industry experience (Personal lines preferred) Test Automation Clear demonstration of the following core competencies: Excellent planning and organizational skills Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills Good communication and interpersonal skills Process-oriented approach / creating and maintaining artifacts Excellent time management skills/ability to establish priorities Must be a team player Self-starter with the ability to work independently Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
