BBYO across Canada is growing rapidly and is now the largest Jewish teen platform nationally. Throughout British Columbia BBYO has been shaping Jewish lives and inspiring vibrant Jewish community for decades. As the Movement looks to its next 100 years BBYO seeks to expand its engagement of and deepen its impact on as many Jewish teens across British Columbia as possible. Over the last couple of years an exciting team of Jewish community leaders and leading Jewish institutions in partnership with generations of parents and alumni have united around a bold vision to liftBBYO CPR Canada Pacific Regionto new heights. BBYO is seeking apart-timeAssociate Regional Director excited to lead the region through its next evolution and eager to pursue its strategic goals. This individual will partner with a team of colleagues volunteers and teens across the regions Jewish communal hubs nurture a diverse network of stakeholders and ensure that BBYO is providing a best-in-class experience for Jewish teens thats meaningful transformative fun and professional.

ThisBBYO CPR Canada Pacific Regionteam member will build strengthen and maintain strategic partnerships with theJewish Community Centre (JCC) of Greater Vancouver theJewish Federation of Greater Vancouver Jewish schools synagogues and other key community stakeholders throughout British Columbia. The Associate Regional Director will work collaboratively to expand Jewish teen engagement increase BBYOs visibility and impact and develop meaningful opportunities for teens across the province. The ARD will also oversee and supervise all regional and chapter programs and events organized by BBYO teens throughout British Columbia ensuring they are delivered safely professionally and in accordance with BBYO policies standards and educational goals.

Strong candidates are charismatic have strong people skills tested program experience able to relate to teens and utilize their abilities to achieve BBYOs mission of engaging more Jewish teens in more meaningful Jewish experiences.

S/he will possess a skill set that includes strong customer service skills logical thinking creative and professional writing and event planning. You should be fearless about reaching out to anyone and eager to take calculated programmatic risks that have often never been tested before. Candidates should be excited about an opportunity that goes beyond being only a youth-facing professional; were looking for someone who wants to build a brand advocate for the Jewish community to embrace the voices and imaginations of its youth and run a highly professional affiliate of BBYOs global movement. This is a role where you will grow your community building programming event planning communications fundraising and business operations skills in a variety of ways.

We are the Jewish communitys largest and fastest growing pluralistic platform for reaching and inspiring Jewish teens built on 100 years of storied history. We do this challenging and invigorating work through our partners in more than 725 local teen-led chapters across more than 60 countries at hundreds of weekend retreats during the school year and across a rapidly growing suite of global exchanges campaigns and movement initiatives all year-round. Over the summer we run dozens of immersive experiences including extensive Israel travel missions and community tours across six continents and a myriad of leadership camps. Our team is strong agile creative inclusive and every day is different by design. • Mentor and support teen leaders and volunteer Advisors to build thriving teen-led BBYO chapters across British Columbia through coaching leadership development and chapter support.
• Plan coordinate and oversee regional and chapter programs conventions leadership trainings and community events managing logistics budgets registrations and ensuring compliance with BBYO policies and safety standards.The ARD is also expected to be present in person to supervise regional and chapter programs when a volunteer Advisor is not available.
• Build meaningful relationships with Jewish teens and community partners to grow membership strengthen engagement and expand BBYOs presence throughout British Columbia.
• Recruit train and support volunteer Advisors while guiding chapter planning leadership transitions and long-term chapter success.
• Collaborate with the Regional Director on strategic planning budgeting fundraising donor engagement reporting and regional growth initiatives.
• Represent BBYO professionally within the Jewish community and support local teen engagement initiatives while participating in regional national and international leadership opportunities as required.

• A wide array of nonprofit skills including budgeting membership growth marketing communications event planning volunteer management fundraising and organizational operations.

• How to mentor and empower teens and volunteers through leadership development.
• How to build partnerships across a Jewish communal ecosystem.

• Professional skills in community building project management and nonprofit leadership.

• Passion for working with teens and supporting youth development.
• 13 years of experience working with teens youth programs community organizations or nonprofit organizations preferred.
• Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience leading teams volunteers or projects preferred.
• Strong communication relationship-building and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
• Experience with program development event planning community engagement or nonprofit operations.
• Comfortable managing budgets administrative systems and operational responsibilities.
• Skilled in professional writing communication and digital tools.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
• Valid drivers license required.
• Ability to travel throughout British Columbia as needed.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and non-traditional hours when teens are available.
• It would be great if you spoke Russian Hebrew French or other languages.

Compensation will be commensurate based on experience within an initial$25000 CAD. The position will be built and supported to maintain a flexible work environment to help foster your preferred work-life blend.
