Role Description:
Lead end-to-end migration of legacy Sybase applications to AWS cloud.
Define migration strategies: rehost re-platform or re-architect.
Design secure scalable and cost-optimized AWS architectures.
Build and modernize solutions using microservices and cloud-native patterns.
Develop ETL pipelines using AWS Glue PySpark and move data to S3 Redshift Athena.
Handle large-scale data migration with strong SQL and data modeling expertise.
Design real-time/near real-time pipelines using Kinesis Kafka (MSK) Spark Streaming or Flink.
Implement event-driven and distributed streaming architectures with low latency.
Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins GitHub Actions or GitLab.
Automate infrastructure using Terraform or CloudFormation (IaC).
Manage AWS services: EC2 S3 RDS Lambda VPC IAM with best practices.
Ensure system reliability monitoring and observability using CloudWatch Prometheus Grafana.
Apply strong security networking governance and cost optimization principles (Well-Architected Framework).
Collaborate across architects data DevOps and engineering teams; mentor junior members.
Work in Agile environments with strong communication ownership mindset and hybrid (Toronto-based) collaboration.
