ATS Contract Instructor Cryptography (Computer Science or Mathematics)

This position is part-time and has an initial appointment of 4 months.

Location - This role is in-person. Work primarily takes place at Augustana Campus Camrose.

The Computing Science and Mathematics program at the Augustana Faculty has a sessional teaching vacancy for Winter Term 2027 to teach AUMAT 328: Cryptography. The Winter term runs from January 4 - April 9 2027 with exam period to follow. The course description is: Introduction to cryptography in theory and practice including its applications and mathematical foundations. Topics include classical cryptosystems private-key cryptosystems (including DES and AES) hashing and public-key cryptosystems (including RSA) digital signatures selected topics in cryptography.

• Develop and present lectures in Cryptography.
• Prepare administer and grade examinations and other course assessments.
• Maintain regularly scheduled office hours to respond to student questions.

• A Masters degree with proficiency in Cryptography.
• Demonstrated excellence or strong potential in teaching at the post-secondary level.
