Associate Professor, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
Job Summary
Position Summary:
1. Curriculum Development & Delivery:Â
- Develop and deliver high quality course content in person laboratory practical and simulation sessions following Micheners Course Management PolicyÂ
- Apply education-based principles to curriculum delivery and content in online Learning Management System and in person formatsÂ
- Utilize a variety and innovative educational tools and technologyto enhance the learning experienceÂ
- Foster knowledge building critical thinking and transfer of practical skillsÂ
2. Student Assessment & Support:Â
- Evaluate and document student progress and achievementÂ
- Provide advisement learning plans and remedial assistance as needed including for learners in difficultyÂ
- Establish fair transparent assessments and timely constructive feedback Â
- Ensure compliance with the academic policies including the academic integrity policyÂ
- Demonstrate a commitment to supporting learners through their program and embodying Michener core values
3. Program Involvement and quality improvement:
- Teach across all subject areas within the programÂ
- Review course and program feedback evaluations and commit to continuous quality improvementÂ
- Adapt teaching methods to enhance student engagement and supportÂ
- Engage in meetings and committees across the Institute by making meaningful and professional contributions Â
- Source student feedback to enhance their learning experienceÂ
4. Collaboration & Communication:Â
- Collaborate with senior and program management and identifying supports and resources as required
- Liaise with Michener faculty staff supporting departments and clinical partners
- Supervise support and guide students through the program
- Maintain open professional and transparent communication Â
5. Professional Development:Â
- Engage in scholarship and research activitiesÂ
- Complete internal training programs as requiredÂ
- Participate in committees professional associations educational and institutional events and initiatives within Michener and the broader healthcare communityÂ
- Pursue ongoing professional development related to education and curriculum development and MRIÂ

Qualifications :
- Masters degree in related field preferredÂ
- Bachelors degree in Medical Radiation Sciences or a related fieldÂ
- Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) from an accredited institutionÂ
- Minimum of 5Â years of clinical experience as a certified MRI technologistÂ
- Capable of teaching introductory and advanced classes and in person labs as required based upon departmental needs
- Experience in teaching or clinical education preferably in a post-secondary or healthcare settingÂ
- Registered in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
- Current membership with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) and Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Sciences (OAMRS) preferred Â
- Training and experience in adult education desired with proficiency in diverse teaching methods; experience with hybrid learning is an asset
- Proven ability to work independently and part of a teamÂ
- Excellent written and verbal communication skillsÂ

- Proficiency in computer applications including MS Office and curriculum design softwareÂ
- Satisfactory Canadian Police Clearance documents required upon hireÂ
