Associate, Mechanical (S&T)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide the Management Team with staff performance criteria and information on all design staff

• Meet regularly with all team members toidentifyissues and put action plans in place

• Provide workload forecasting as new projects are secured and provide progress analysisregardingprospective unsecured projects (integrating efforts of the Marketing Team)

• UpdateIntrobaaccounting system information for effective use by the Marketing Team

• Recommend distribution of new work based on staff availability asestablishedby the team workload requirements

• RepresentIntrobaat meetings with project clients and other project stakeholders asrequired

• Company representative at related association meetings plus dealing with city provincial and federal officials

• Train staff in all phases of design process toinsurecontinuation of technical design operation when absent from the office or when staffison vacation

• Utilize leadership skills and motivation techniques to maximize employee productivity and satisfaction

• Effect and implement programs to improve the quality of our serviceproductsand systems to meet clients requirements and expectations and to minimize costs and maximize the companys competitive position

• Instill the concept of quality being the responsibility of every design team quality issues with all members andin particular ensuresthat the quality control function is effectively performed

• Utilized the quality assurance and control programs in the company

• Assure adequate field review services are provided to ensure adherence of contract documents

• Effect studies todeterminecause effect and corrective actionsrequiredto remedy deviationsimpairing desired standards

Skills and Qualifications:

• 6 years of specific HVAC plumbing and fire protection design experience

• 5-10 years of experience in mechanical site inspections field review reports and attendance at site meetings.

• Familiarity with theBC Building Code andBC Building By-law is essential

• Minimum 5 years project management experience in consulting engineering

• Superior interpersonal skills with clients and staff

• Communication and Coaching skills

• Demonstrated leadership abilities

• Professional Engineer (CEngPEngor equivalent) Applied Science Technologist (AScT) designation or eligibility to apply

• LEED Accreditation an asset
