The Work
Responsible for leading the broker-facing Reverse Mortgage sales team driving national growth engagement and performance across the broker channel. Focuses on expanding distribution improving pipeline performance and increasing product adoption through structured execution training and market activation.
The Core Responsibilities!
  • Act as the subject matter expert on Reverse Mortgages

  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive growth in the Reverse Mortgage business

  • Lead coach and develop the national broker-facing Reverse Mortgage sales team

  • Execute regional sales plans and drive broker acquisition activation and retention

  • Own the training strategy and education of brokers on reverse mortgage solutions

  • Define and analyze metrics that inform the team of issues and opportunities to improve key metrics

  • Partner with Marketing to deliver broker-facing campaigns and initiatives

  • Ensure strong deployment and adoption of reverse mortgage solutions across the broker channel

  • Collaborate with Regional Directors to maximize territory coverage and broker engagement

  • Work closely with SFR Sales to drive cross-sell and increase product penetration

  • Monitor performance pipeline quality and conversioneffectiveness

  • Foster an accountable and collaborative culture anddemonstratesa strong ability for developing others to ensure sales and persistency goals are achieved or exceeded

  • Build strong relationships with key broker partners and industry stakeholders

  • Alignwith Regional Directors on market execution priorities

  • Foster a culture of accountability collaboration and continuous improvement

  • Drive national growth in the broker-facing Reverse Mortgage channel

  • Increase penetration and adoption within the broker network

  • Deliver effective training marketing alignment and product deployment

  • Maximize collaboration with Regional Directors and SFR Sales teams

  • Deliver the leading experience for Canadian retireesseekingto obtain a reverse mortgage

  • Grow Equitable Banks position as the leading reverse mortgage product in the Canadian mortgage broker channel

  • Maintain standards of delivering a top-tier customer experience that embodies Equitable Banks position on Compliance and Seniors Code of Conduct topics

  • Ensure thatnew ideasare beingcontinuously sourced organized and nurtured for testing fast with those which are valuable and dropping those whicharent

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proventrack recordof developing relationships and maturity to interact with Senior Executives

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate on a broad spectrum (from deep technical discussions to high-level executive vision)

  • Ability to prioritize assignments projects and handle multiple competing priorities (multi-tasking) within restricted time constraints

  • Problem solver with sound judgment who takes initiative accepts ownership and accountability

Lets Talk About You!
  • Post-Secondary Degree in Commerce Management Economics Finance etc. CPA/MBA or other graduate degree a plus

  • 10 years face-to-face sales experience with 5 years in the reverse mortgage industry

  • 5 years sales management coaching and leadershipexperience

  • Is an empathetic leader who nurtures a diverse team and can manage effectively during times of rapid growth andchange

  • Experience managing cross-functional areas with direct and indirect reports (e.g. risk finance marketing operations)

  • Seasoned in a fast-paced B2B and D2C organization(s) strategy and/or in managementconsulting

  • Experience launching products into new channels atscale

  • Demonstrated ability to translate analytical insights into clear recommendations and effectively communicate them to technical and non-technicalstakeholders

  • Working knowledge of the different systems theories and practices relevant to a function as well as practical experience of multiple business cycles

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

The incumbent will be working hybrid and in office time will be spent working from EQ Banks additional office space located at2200-25 Ontario Street Toronto ON.
