Steps away from the main public transit station What we offer:Highly competitive compensation package which includes base salary bonus benefits and career advancement opportunities! *Eligibility for benefits is dependent on the terms of employmentThe Opportunity First Nationals AML Department is responsible for establishing and implementing a robust compliance program which is managed through the implementation monitoring and testing of internal AML controls policy and procedure development and through the ongoing training of First National Residential AML Associate Analyst is responsible for supporting the AML team with the anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing screening process and supporting the AML Assistant Manager and Senior Manager with additional projects. This role requires attention to detail strong decision-making skills and an ongoing focus on quality and timeliness. How you will contribute: Review potential matches against Canadian and international lists of sanctioned individuals and entities via our screening platformAssess the impact of positive matches via our screening system in accordance with AML policies and proceduresCompile verify and sort data to prepare source data for computer entryInput data into database systemsConduct periodic searches for third partiesMonitor effectiveness of screening framework and identify areas of improvementInvestigate and adjudicate AML investigations generated by our transaction monitoring system and other lines of businessPrepare and submit Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) to FINTRAC through the FINTRAC Web Reporting (FWR) system ensuring information is accurate complete and filed in a timely reports based on data and disseminate reports to appropriate business unitsCompletes special projects assigned by AML Senior Manager AML Assistant Manager or Senior AML AnalystThe experience you need: Minimum undergraduate degree and/or equivalent work experience requiredGenuine interest in AMLProficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel PowerPoint and Word)Knowledge of customer service principles and practicesExperience working in a fast-paced structured and team-based environmentAbility to work independently Possesses sound decision-making abilitiesBilingualism (French English) an asset Working Environment and Physical Demands Analysis:Office environmentPeriods of high volume with tight timelinesLong periods of stationary position/sittingProlonged periods of repetitive movement (i.e. using a keyboard and mouse)Long periods of time in viewing a computer screenAbility to simultaneously engage with clients by telephone perform due diligence research review customer information and accurately document findings within multiple systems and join First NationalCompetitive Compensation Comprehensive benefits program (i.e. Health Spending Account Maternity and Parental Leave Top Up)Extensive training programs to set our employees up for success Modern office environment conducive to collaborationSupportive teamwork culture Opportunities to give back to the communities and work through events focused on a variety of charities Ongoing social events throughout the year The team youll join: Founded in 1988 First National is one of Canadas largest non-bank lenders.
