We are currently recruiting for a dual position of Assistant Educator and Temporary Accommodation Support Facilitator to join our Team in Newmarketat the following location: Rogers PS. This position is to fill a new June 2026 pay rates! Pay Range: $19.55 - $23.54Temporary Accommodation Support Facilitator: $19.55/hour Assistant Educator $20.60 - $23.54/hour (includes General Operating Grant) plus Wage Enhancement Grant (up to $2.00/hr) and Split Shift Premium ($2.00/hr).*Candidates must be available to work a split shift in a before and after school Type & Required Availability:Assistant Educator - Casual Supply status (variable hours):Candidates must be available to work a minimum of 5 assigned shifts every month. Accomodation Support Facilitator - Temporary Part-time (15 hrs/week):Candidates must be available to work a 3 hour shift Monday-Friday to be considered. Position Summary:To assist the teachers in program delivery ensuring operational requirements are met in compliance with all internal and external guidelines policies and procedures. To ensure the delivery of a developmentally appropriate play based program by applying specialized skills and knowledge related to early childhood education. The overarching goal is to enhance the classroom ratio and provide an inclusive environment through ongoing collaboration and communication. Supports the organizations vision mission and guiding values. This is a fully in-centre position. Job Responsibilities: Applies current legislative expectations to support a program that is consistent with Ministry of Education requirements and in accordance with Upper Canada Child Cares program a program that is consistent with Ministry of Education requirements and in accordance with Upper Canada Child Cares program with program charts daily logs reports and administration tasks as in professional development opportunities staff meetings and training sessions as required. Engages with the children and provides a positive learning experience. Provides a range of care including assisting with meals/snacks toileting diapering dressing the engagement of and ongoing communication with parents about the program and their children. Completes program charts daily logs reports and other administration tasks as Storypark for pedagogical documentation as a guide for program collaborates and communicates with other team members school personnel and outside agencies to help support the needs of all guidance to students and volunteers as to support and maintain an inclusive direction from other staff members in order to best support the be required to interact with children on a 1:1 basis and/or supervise a group of information to parents when requested and encourages family pedagogical documentation as a guide for program to the design of Individual Support Plans and supports the implementation with full effort in collaboration with the Inclusion Support team. May attend meetings with internal and/or external agencies and individuals as part of the Individual Support general housekeeping and classroom duties for children aged 0-12 years (e.g. meal/snack preparation toileting diapering dressing etc). Qualifications and Requirements: A recent Police Vulnerable Sector least 18 years of age or older due to licensing assessment and up-to-date record of immunization as outlined by -to-date certification in CPR-C and Standard First Aid (training provided upon selection if required).Basic understanding of special needs and knowledge of the developmental needs of children and demonstrated ability to apply this ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively and establish appropriate relationships with families caregivers and other professionals. Ability to remain calm under initiative; applies sound reason in solving problems and resolves conflict in an effective professional the physical and emotional stamina to effectively supervise children in a variety of settings including outdoor public spaces. Ability to use computer systems and programs; including Dayforce and Storypark. Moderate level of physical effort is regularly required; including but not limited to kneeling pushing pulling bending and carrying.
