Assistant Coach, Huskie Women's Hockey
Job Summary
Primary Purpose:The Assistant Coach supports all aspects of the University of Saskatchewan Huskie Womens Hockey program working under the direction of the Head Coach. The role contributes directly to the development of elite studentathletes the execution of a nationally competitive program and the pursuit of academic and athletic excellence. The Assistant Coach must build and maintain strong working relationships with coaching staff studentathletes recruits alumni and internal/external partners. The role requires evening weekend and holiday work as well as travel throughout the season. The successful candidate must understand the responsibility and public profile associated with representing Huskie Athletics and the University of Saskatchewan.
Nature of Work:The position reports functionally to the Head Coach Womens Hockey and administratively to the Chief Athletics Officer (CAO) Huskie Athletics. This is a highvolume highvisibility role requiring exceptional professionalism leadership and the ability to perform under pressure in a fastpaced environment.
Typical Duties or Accountabilities:
Education:A fouryear Bachelors degree from a recognized postsecondary institution. Consideration will be given for equivalent experience; however a degree is preferred.
