Job OverviewWere seeking a skilled Architectural Technologistwith a strong interest in architectural design excellenceto support thehigh-qualitytechnical execution of projects across a range of scales and under the direction oftheProject Architect andalongside projectdesigners andin close collaboration with an integrated multidisciplinary team this role plays a critical part in translating design intent intoaccurate coordinated and buildable documentation. The position offers an opportunity to grow as a technical expert while contributing to design focused contemporaryarchitectureand excellence fordeveloping detailed architectural Building Information Modellingproducing highqualityand coordinatedconstruction documentsandprovidingarchitecturaltechnical supportthrough construction stage and DutiesTranslate conceptual and schematic designs into technically sound buildable solutions in collaboration with the Project Architect and design detailed BIM models and working drawings including plans sections elevations details schedules and drawing coordinated accuratearchitectural drawings and technical documentation from schematic design through construction documents usingRevitin accordance withoffice and coordinate architectural systems and technical details includinghighperformance and integrate zoning bylaws building codes and regulatory requirements into project documentation under the supervision of the Project architectural work with structural mechanical electrical civil and specialty consultants to resolve technical and coordination and manage drawing packages ensuring accuracy consistency revision control and compliance with quality with the preparation of architectural specifications including researching products and systems and coordinating information from suppliers and in contract administration (CA) during construction including:Conducting onsite field reviewsPreparing and issuing field review reportsReviewing and evaluating shop drawings submittals and product data for compliance with design intent and technical standardsLiaise with consultants contractors and suppliers to clarify design intent and resolve technical issues during both documentation and construction applicable codes standards and best practices for drawings and technical internal quality control processesmaintainingwell organized project files drawing sets and revision in internal design and technical reviews contributing insight related to constructability materials detailing and technologists architects and engineers with site surveys documentation and technical research with internal teams to meet project budget schedule and a strong commitment to the companys values of quality client focus teamwork sustainability and positively to a collaborative designfocusedstudio environment with an interest indesign excellence and contemporary inArchitectural Technology Construction Engineering Technology orrelated fields. 2 4 () years experienceworking ina design focused architectural practice with a strong focus on production and technical documentation. Advanced proficiencyinRevitfor BIM and construction documentation. Working knowledge of AutoCAD. Strong understanding of Canadian/Ontario building codes zoning bylaws and building producing construction documents and supporting projects through contract ability to coordinate with multiple disciplines and resolve technical attention to detail with excellent organizational andqualitycontrol communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively within a team and interact with consultants and indesign excellencehighqualitydetailing and contemporary at WalterFedyAs a national innovative multi-discipline design and construction collective our ambition goes beyond great design we are here to enhance the world around us.
