Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technician

Major Job Functions:

• Assist Heavy Equipment Technicians with troubleshooting repairing and maintaining all heavy duty equipment and/or related equipment in a timely fashion.
• Work as part of a team to meet Finning customer service commitments.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers and co-workers.
• Understand and adhere to all Finning policies including Code of Conduct and Safety.
• Ensure all service documentation and billing is accurate and properly recorded.
• Other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Willing to work towards Heavy Equipment Technician Certification (Red Seal).
• Successfully meet Finnings educational and testing prerequisites.
• Completion of grade 12 (Physics English and Math)
• Highly motivated and mechanically inclined
• Strong assets will include:
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Previous Caterpillar experience and basic computer skills
