Who You Will Work With:

The vacantAppOps Analystrolewillreport to the Leader Interac Control Centre.

The AppOps Analyst (Application Operations Analyst) is responsible for ensuring the stability availability performance and reliability of mission-critical applications and supporting infrastructure. This role provides end-to-end operational support across application database cloud and platform environments while driving incident resolution service improvements and operational excellence. The successful candidate will work closely with Development Infrastructure Network and Business teams to support production systems troubleshoot complex issues and continuously improve service reliability through automation and process optimization.

What YouWillDo:

• Provide operational support and maintenance for Java/JEE applications APIs microservices containerized applications and cloud-native platforms.
• Monitor application health availability performance reliability and operational alerts using monitoring and observability platforms such as Dynatrace AppDynamics Splunk CloudWatch and related tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across application middleware Linux database container cloud and network layers using logs traces metrics diagnostics and monitoring data.
• Perform incident triage impact assessments root cause analysis and problem investigation to restore services and prevent recurring issues.
• Support and maintain workloads across AWS hybrid cloud and on-premises environments including services such as EC2 S3 Lambda CloudWatch and supporting networking components.
• Analyze and troubleshoot database-related issues using Oracle and DB2 including writing complex SQL queries reports joins and supporting query tuning and performance optimization activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Development Infrastructure Network and Business stakeholders to resolve complex technical issues and support production deployments.
• Participate in production releases and Change Management activities including planning risk assessment implementation validation and post-implementation reviews ensuring compliance with ITIL incident change release and problem management processes.
• Document incidents troubleshooting activities resolutions and operational procedures in a clear and concise manner.
• Develop and maintain operational documentation including playbooks knowledge base articles runbooks and support processes.
• Assist in the maintenance tuning and administration of monitoring alerting and reporting platforms to improve operational visibility and service reliability.
• Manage chronic repeat and aging incidents through proactive investigation communication and escalation management.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation self-healing capabilities and operational efficiency initiatives that reduce manual effort and improve service stability.
• Support and participate in projects platform enhancements technology upgrades and other operational initiatives as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

WhatYou Bring:

• University degree in Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in application support production operations site reliability engineering or software development preferably within Java-based environments.
• Strong knowledge of Java/JEE applications REST APIs Linux operating systems SQL and relational databases such as Oracle and DB2.
• Hands-on experience with SQL development database troubleshooting performance analysis query tuning and optimization.
• Experience with application performance monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace AppDynamics Splunk CloudWatch or comparable platforms.
• Working knowledge of AWS cloud services including compute storage networking monitoring and security services.
• Understanding of containerization technologies cloud-native architectures APIs microservices and networking fundamentals.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines automated deployment processes and release management practices.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Bash Python or PowerShell for troubleshooting task automation and operational efficiency.
• Strong understanding of ITIL Incident Problem Change and Release Management processes.
• Experience supporting production releases change implementations incident response activities and post-deployment validations.
• Strong analytical troubleshooting root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively document technical procedures incidents and resolutions.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Eligibility to work for Interac Canada in a full-time capacity.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting high-availability high-volume or mission-critical systems.
• Experience with automation scripting and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Exposure to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices and operational automation tools.
• Experience working within hybrid cloud and enterprise production environments.

Additional Requirements

• Must be willing to work in 24x7 rotating shifts on-call including holidays & weekends.
• Must be eligible to work for Interac Canada in a full-time capacity.

The hiringrangefor this position is$65000-$85000 and you will also be eligible for our short-term incentive plan.
