Job Summary

Role Description: Application Release Engineer

Provides integrated guidance across business product and technology organizations to deliver best practices for releasing software from how software is stored in source code repositories to build rules for compilation to how testing packaging and deployment are conducted. AREs bring release engineering best practices to the endtoend management and deployment of code.

Skills Needed

Expert knowledge in continuous integration and continuous delivery processes and tools
Advanced script development experience in at least one language: Python Bash PowerShell
Experience deploying Azure infrastructure through CI/CD pipelines
Advanced operating system knowledge for at least one: Windows or Linux
Expert Git and source control management skills (pull requests merging) preferably with Bitbucket and/or GitHub
Experience deploying services to one or more cloud providers: Azure GCP AWS
Knowledge of one or more database systems including relational database concepts and scripting (MS SQL Oracle)
Experience with infrastructureascode and configuration management tools: Terraform Salt Ansible
Experience with enterprise monitoring and troubleshooting tools: Splunk Datadog Dynatrace
University or postgraduate degree
Strong academic background (computer science engineering)
7 years relevant experience
