Department Overview

The Client Data Services function is an independent and centralized infrastructure control function responsible for the accuracy integrity and maintenance of client credit SSI and Trade Agreement reference data within TD Securities (TDS) globally. The team is comprised of approximately 60 professionals that provide timely and accurate reference data services.

Global Operations and Business Services provides essential risk management and control to preserve the Banks assets and reputation. For every trade agreed / new product launched / market entered / transaction completed it is Global Operations and Business Services responsibility to develop processes and controls for the business to successfully operate.

Role Details

We are looking for an individual who is detail and task oriented and who can liaise with various Stakeholders across TD Bank and TD Securities interfacing with Sales & Trading Technology Risk and other professionals across the firm. Due to the ever changing regulatory landscape with respect to legal agreements the candidate must be flexible and willing to embrace new challenges.

The position will be responsible for providing best-of-class service to clients of TD Securities and internal business partners by managing the data capture requirements for legal information for capital markets trading products. The candidate will also be responsible for managing and investigating trade exceptions as related to various legal agreements. The Bank contracts with global counterparties for trading products such as derivatives foreign exchange and fixed income products i.e. repo/securities lending agreements ISDA Master Agreements prime brokerage agreements related credit support documentation. The position will also be responsible for exemption management under the Qualified Financial Contract (QFC) Recordkeeping regulation where all financial institutions are required to submit a report of all open QFC positions to the FDIC.

Job Accountabilities:

• Responsible for the management of accurate and timely data capture for legal terms/documentation between the Bank and its counterparties to facilitate operationalization of legal agreement terms. This includes the ability to review the legal agreements and codify terms in the appropriate system.
• Responsible for managing and updating the Scream tables that record netting status and product coverage for relevant legal agreements.
• Responsible to build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders across the bank and be available to service the deal flow with tight deadlines from global desks to operationalize legal agreement data.
• Partner with TDS Data Change Delivery and Strategic Change and Initiative Partners to maintain and assist with tactical improvements to the Data Agreement Master and Netting Table in in an efficient and timely manner.
• Collaborate with key technology partners to ensure that Trade Agreement data capture and Netting Table are running as efficiently as possible
• Provide prompt and accurate responses to inquiries escalating when necessary;
• Achieve a service standard of error free processing by ensuring accurate inputting of data to mitigate risk to TD (eg. reputational financial regulatory operational risk);
• Achieve Customer Service standards by adhering to strict Service Level Agreements;
• Maintain and support business partner relationships across regions and respective business groups (e.g. Global Counterparty Credit Enterprise Distribution)

Job Requirements:

• Sound knowledge and understanding of trading businesses and understanding of the operating environment business processes and procedures and the transaction lifecycle for Client Data Services as it relates to all businesses supported (e.g. Enterprise Distribution Fixed Income Institutional Equities Corporate Lending);
• Sound knowledge and understanding of Trade Agreements such as ISDA CSA MFSTA GMRA etc. would be an asset.
• Ability to execute on routine and ad-hoc requests;
• Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and handle high volumes of work in a demanding environment;
• Excellent organizational and time management skills;
• Strong ability to work independently as well as part of a team;
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented with the ability to develop tactical & strategic solutions on projects & day-to-day problems;
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and written;
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Additional Information

Education/Accreditations:

• University or college degree
• 3 year relevant work experience in Data Management

• Ability to manage work volumes and change requirements across multiple processes
• Self-starter with a high degree of initiative and the ability to learn and adapt quickly
