The Alumni Officer creates and maintains pathways for alumni participation that strengthen alumni engagement and advance the goals of Collingwood through relationship-building communications events volunteer opportunities and student engagement initiatives. The role serves as a liaison between the Alumni Executive Board and school leadership and partners with Advancement colleagues where appropriate to support broader alumni engagement and philanthropic goals. This is a Full Time Permanent position with an immediate start Support and coordinate the activities of the Alumni Executive Board including meeting planning follow-up and relationship implement and promote alumni programs events reunions and engagement initiatives that align with the schools strategic and maintain strong relationships with alumni locally nationally and internationally through ongoing outreach and alumni communications across email digital platforms publications and social media channels including accurate alumni records and engagement data within the alumni with faculty staff and Advancement colleagues to create opportunities for alumni involvement in mentorship networking guest speaking career exploration and experiential learning with Marketing and Communications to develop alumni-focused content and share alumni success graduating students transition into the alumni community through targeted engagement the planning and execution of reunion events affinity-based gatherings and special alumni and support alumni stewardship opportunities and contribute to relationship-building the alumni program budget and ensure effective use of and analyze alumni feedback participation metrics and engagement trends to inform future programming and strategic planningRequired qualifications 23 years of experience in alumni relations community engagement advancement or a related relationship-focused ability to build relationships engage volunteers and coordinate programs and communication interpersonal organizational and planning to think strategically while effectively executing programs and planning and coordinating events is an -motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team professionalism discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet with Raisers Edge or a similar CRM database is an to travel and work occasional evenings and degree or an equivalent combination of education and residency and legally entitled to work in CanadaOur Must HavesRespect dignity and inclusion for all members of the community Collaborative mind-set and courageous approach to adversityDemonstrated communications skills (oral and written) Creative out-of-the-box thinkerFlexible and adaptable and embraces change Proven work ethic with utmost integrityEnthusiasm eagerness and genuine interest in all aspects of the schools successSelf-awareness with a desire for constant self improvement (goal-oriented)We offer professional development opportunities competitive salaries a generous benefits package including RRSP Personal Days access to an Employee and Family Assistance Plan and access to a Health Spending Account health and wellness initiatives along with one of the most beautiful locations in Canada to work!The hiring range for this position is from $51638 to $64547.
