AI Engineer

Infosys is seeking a highly skilled and innovative AI Engineer to join our growing AI and Digital Transformation team in St. Louis USA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building deploying and optimizing Generative AI and Large Language Model (LLM)-based applications using modern AI frameworks and Python technologies.

This role requires strong expertise in AI application development workflow orchestration using LangGraph prompt engineering and scalable backend development. The candidate should be passionate about solving real-world business problems using cutting-edge AI technologies.

• Design develop and deploy AI-powered applications using Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Build intelligent workflows and multi-agent systems using LangGraph and related orchestration frameworks.
• Develop scalable backend services and APIs using Python.
• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise systems and cloud platforms.
• Implement prompt engineering retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and agentic AI workflows.
• Optimize model performance latency and scalability for production environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers architects and business stakeholders.
• Conduct testing debugging and performance tuning of AI applications.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in Generative AI LLM ecosystems and AI engineering best practices.
• Ensure adherence to security compliance and coding standards.

• Strong hands-on experience with Python development.
• Expertise in Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Experience working with LangGraph for workflow orchestration and AI agent development.
• Knowledge of AI frameworks such as LangChain OpenAI APIs Hugging Face or similar platforms.
• Experience with REST APIs microservices and backend integrations.
• Understanding of prompt engineering vector databases embeddings and RAG architectures.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or GCP.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Experience deploying AI applications in production environments.
• Knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and MLOps practices.
• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Prior experience in enterprise AI transformation projects.

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology Artificial Intelligence or a related field.
