Job Summary:

As the Afternoon (2nd shift) Production Supervisor you runthe entire production floor from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. You are the mostsenior operational leader in the building during the afternoon shiftresponsible for Screen Print Heat Transfer Embroidery and Logistics.

You work off the lead of the three department supervisors SP/HT Embroidery and Logistics. They plan the work set priorities and stagethe day before your shift begins. Your job is to execute that plan: deliver theoutput they have committed to at the quality standard they have set withinthe hours available.

If a machine goes down an order changes or someone callsin you make the call on the floor redeploying people between departments andresequencing work to protect the commitment. You lead and develop the 2nd shiftteam keep the floor safe and organized and hand back a clear accuratepicture of what was completed and what was not. You report directly to theChief Operating Officer.

Salary: $70000 -$80000 per annum

Location: OakvilleOn In-Office Monday Friday; 3pm 11pm (2nd shift)

Responsibilities:

Leadership and people

• Lead supervise anddevelop all 2nd shift staff across Screen Print Heat Transfer Embroidery andLogistics including day-to-day direction training coaching and performancemanagement.

• Set the pace andstandard for the shift: hold the team accountable to daily targets qualityexpectations and professional conduct.

• Build across-trained team so that every department has trained backup coverage and theshift is never dependent on one person.

• Partner with HR onhiring onboarding attendance discipline and documentation for 2nd shiftemployees.

Executing the production plan

• Work off the leadof the 1st shift supervisors. They plan prioritize and stage the work and setthe 2nd shift staff schedule before your shift begins; you execute it.

• Receive the dailyplan and handover at the start of every shift confirm you have the labourmaterials and equipment to deliver it and raise any gap immediately.

• Assign people andequipment across all four departments to deliver the planned output on time andin the sequence set.

• Adjust in real timewhen the plan breaks. You have the authority to redeploy staff betweendepartments and re-sequence work to protect customer commitments; significantdeviations are communicated to the relevant department supervisor and the COO.

• Ensure Logisticspicks packs stages and ships accurately so that completed orders leave onschedule.

• Deliver a completewritten handover at the end of every shift what was completed what was notwhat moved and why so the department supervisors can plan the next day fromfact not guesswork.

Quality

• Maintain Entripysquality standard across all decoration methods inspect work in progress andfinished goods against customer specifications and approved samples.

• Own first-pieceapproval colour matching and print/stitch quality sign-off before a runcontinues.

• Investigate defectsand reprints identify root cause and put corrective action in place ratherthan reacting order by order.

Equipment and technical troubleshooting

• Oversee dailymaintenance cleaning and calibration of all production equipment; ensure itruns efficiently and safely.

• Diagnose andresolve technical issues screen setup ink consistency and colour matchingheat press temperature and dwell embroidery thread breaks tensioning anddigitizing issues.

• Arrange repairs orservicing when required to minimize downtime.

• Train team memberson troubleshooting so that routine problems are solved on the floor withoutstopping the line.

Safety and housekeeping

• Enforce all healthand safety requirements including the Occupational Health and Safety ActWHMIS lockout/tagout and PPE use.

• Act as the seniorsafety authority on shift: respond to incidents complete reporting and ensurefirst aid and emergency procedures are followed.

• Maintain a cleanorganized and audit-ready floor across all departments at end of shift.

Reporting and continuous improvement

• Maintain accuraterecords of production output labour hours materials usage and equipmentmaintenance.

• Report on shiftperformance output against plan efficiency quality issues downtime andstaffing to the COO and the department supervisors.

• Feed what you seeon the floor back into the planning process where the plan is consistentlyunachievable where capacity is being lost and where sequencing could beimproved.

• Identifybottlenecks and waste and recommend process layout or scheduling changes thatimprove throughput and reduce cost per unit.

Skills andQualifications:

• High school diplomaor equivalent.

• Proven supervisoryor leadership experience in a manufacturing decoration or productionenvironment.

• Hands-on experiencein at least one decoration method screen printing embroidery or heattransfer with working knowledge of the equipment and process.

• Demonstratedability to execute a production plan across multiple departments and competingpriorities in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.

• Sound judgementunder pressure able to make the right call on the floor when the plan breaksand to communicate that decision clearly afterward.

• Strong attention todetail and a genuine commitment to quality.

• Excellentproblem-solving and communication skills; comfortable being the finaldecision-maker on shift and equally comfortable working to a plan someone elsehas set.

• Comfortable withcomputerized production systems ERP/order management software and basicreporting.

• Available to work3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Monday to Friday with flexibility to stay later oradjust during peak periods.
