We have an existing vacancy available within our dynamic and growing firm for an Administrative Assistant/Copy Centre Clerk at our Barrie location.
Schedule:Wednesday to Friday 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with additional hours as required for vacation coverage.
Due to the nature of the work involved in this position the successful applicant will be required to attend the office in person.A valid drivers licence and access to a reliable personal vehicle are requirements of this position as the role involves regular courier and off-site duties.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of relevant administrative experience in an office or legal environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support Duties
- Receive sort and distribute all incoming and inter-office mail and couriers.
- Prepare and deliver registered mail to the Canada Post office.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the office bistro including dishwashing and appliance upkeep.
- Provide front desk and client service coverage during lunch hours vacations or as needed.
- Assist with general office maintenance and facility tasks.
- Maintain office printing equipment by refilling paper and replacing toner cartridges as required.
Copy Centre Duties
- Operate photocopiers and scanners to produce high-quality copies and digital files.
- Bind organize and prepare legal documents.
Legal Courier Duties
- Pick up and deliver time-sensitive documents and packages between offices courts banks and City Hall.
- Handle bank-related tasks such as deposits cheque certifications and payouts.
- Attend City Hall for tasks including verbal confirmations arrears payments and obtaining certificates.
Qualifications and Skills
The successful candidate will have:
- A strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant administrative experience preferably in an office or legal environment.
- A valid drivers licence and reliable personal vehicle.
- Proficiency with standard office software and equipment.
- Excellent time management skills.
- A positive attitude and a strong emphasis on client experience.
Program-specific IT training will be provided through our in-house IT staff as required on an ongoing basis.
