Activity Coordinator

Led by the Recreational Therapist and/or the Site Manager as an Activity Coordinator at Green Acres Foundation you would be responsible for the following:

• Developing programs that contribute to the physical mental and emotional well-being of residents.
• Provide programs and activities which offer broad appeal to residents and encourage participation.
• Planning and organizing resident excursions entertainment activities and other indoor/outdoor activities.
• Driving the Foundation bus and leading exercises.
• Recruiting training and overseeing volunteers.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years experience in leading group activities and/or related recreation field.
• Emergency First Aid certification.
• Current satisfactory Criminal Record Check
• Valid Class 4 drivers license.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and spoken English.
• A flexible willing and positive attitude.

Certification and/or training in conducting exercises for seniors is considered an asset.
