As an Accounts Payable Clerk for the Centre Block Rehabilitation Project youll have the opportunity to contribute to our team and keep our project moving by ensuring every invoice is accurate accounted for and paid on time.

Heres how a Accounts Payable Clerk for PCL Constructors Canada Inc. within Ottawa contributes to our team:
- Reviews retrieves and verifies vendor invoices received through a shared accounts payable inbox and vendor portal.
- Accurately enters approved invoices into the accounting system in a timely manner
- Updates purchase orders with accurate cost codes.
- Identifies and prioritizes approved overdue invoices to maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
- Accurately distributes invoices to appropriate project efficiently.
- Independently investigates and resolves invoice and payment discrepancies.
- Prepares new vendor verification documentation.
- Responds to inquiries from vendors and internal staff via email phone in-person or MS Teams.
- Verifies vendor accounts reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
- Assists with year-end reporting
- Other duties as required.
- High school diploma.
- Associates or bachelors degree diploma or certificate in an accounting or administrative program considered an asset.
- 1 year of experience in an accounts payable role or equivalent technical experience.
- Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to change.
- Ability to act with discretion when handling confidential information.
- Ability to effectively handle difficult situations and remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to create edit proofread and format documents/presentations.
- Basic skills in Word Outlook PowerPoint Excel Adobe and OneNote.

The estimated salary range for this role is $56270-$72820 based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
