Accounting Technician

Reporting to the General Accounting Supervisor with whom they work closely the incumbent actively participates in the monthly analysis of general ledger accounts.

What youre responsible for:

• Perform bank reconciliations;
• Prepare journal entries;
• Process billing;
• Process accounts payable;
• Complete petty cash and general ledger reconciliations;
• Maintain regular communication with branch managers;
• Provide excellent customer service;
• Work closely with all members of the department;
• Perform any other related duties.

Qualifications :

To Join Our Team:

• College diploma or vocational diploma (DEC or DEP) in accounting;
• Minimum of 35 years of relevant experience in a similar position; experience in the retail industry is considered an asset;
• Good general understanding of computer systems and accounting software;
• Excellent knowledge of accounting principles;
• Ability to manage a high volume of work;
• Ability to quickly adapt to different situations;
• Ability to work simultaneously with multiple branches;
• Strong interpersonal skills;
• Strong communication skills;
• Bilingualism in English and French is required.
