Academic advisors promote student success and increase student enrollment and retention by promoting programs and services recruiting for programs and referring students in need of additional resources. Advisors are also responsible for understanding and interpreting the universitys policies and academic options of all programs to help facilitate the students academic success. This position reports to the Director of Student Success :Assist students to make informed decisions about their educational students to other departments agencies institutions and and develop resources to assist students in understanding academic regulations policies procedures and and provide input into the development of policies processes and recruitment and department on behalf of the Registrar in matters such as course registration changes student record reviews and the application of academic regulationsQualifications:Bachelors degree in a related to three years experience in academic advising or related careers in post-secondary education. A combination of education and experience may be considered. Broad knowledge of the Saskatchewan post-secondary education system and community interpersonal and communication skills and ability to provide outstanding customer and appreciation of First Nation values norms and traditions.
