3rd-4th Year Electrical Apprentice

Wildstone is a General Contractor currently recruiting for a 3rd-4th Year Electrical Apprentice. Our electrical team supports our water/wastewater energy and institutional projects collaborating with our in-house Mech/HVAC division to provide control wiring capabilities. Were looking for a motivated and highly-skilled Electrical Apprentice to join our team and grow with us!

Youll travel for work to locations throughout BC the Yukon and occasionally the Northwest Territories. Our crews typically work 21/7 rotations travel in and out of various locations work 10-hour shifts on average and enjoy the comforts of home in well-maintained crew houses.

In this role youll work independently collaborate with skilled tradespeople and support our Journeyperson Electricians as you learn the trade. Your responsibilities include work onnew construction projects and modernization and upgrading projects youll also handle emergency service calls.

What you will experience day to day:

• Underground and slab conduit and grounding.
• Building wiring -typically EMT Rigid PVC or Teck.
• Installation of power distribution switchgear backup generators transformers motor control centers PLC control panels VFDspumps and instrumentation.
• Motor control wiring process instrument control wiring and HVAC control wiring.
• Following the Canadian Electric Code and BC Hydro Fortis and ATCO electrical standards.

We value flexibility so youll also be ready to take on other tasks as needed.

What were looking for:

• 3rd or 4th year apprentice with previous electrical experience on commercial industrial or institutional work sites.
• A solid understanding of electrical circuits basic code and reading drawings and instructions.
• Necessary Skills: Conduit bending light fixture assembly & installation Teck cable glanding Unistrut & cable tray installation electrical switchgear and equipment installation.
• Able to fulfill the physical requirements of the role.
• Experience working from ladders and at elevated heights
• A valid drivers license.
