Position: Operations Intern

Location: Yaoundé Cameroon
Employment Type: Internship (3–6 Months)

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive organized and detail-oriented Operations Intern to support the daily operations of our Business Services and Recruitment firm. The successful candidate will assist in operational planning project coordination process improvement office administration and cross-functional activities to ensure efficient service delivery across the organization.

This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in operations management business process improvement recruitment support and office administration while working closely with multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Coordination

  • Assist in planning coordinating and executing daily operational activities and projects.
  • Support management in monitoring operational performance and improving internal workflows.
  • Assist in tracking operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and preparing performance reports.
  • Participate in reviewing updating and documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Support the implementation of operational tools systems and process improvements to increase efficiency.

Office Administration

  • Supervise the cleanliness organization and maintenance of the office environment.
  • Monitor office inventory and ensure the timely replenishment of stationery consumables and other office supplies.
  • Maintain organized physical and electronic filing systems for operational records and documentation.
  • Prepare operational documents reports presentations and meeting materials.
  • Perform accurate data entry and maintain company databases.

Project & Service Delivery Support

  • Assist in coordinating recruitment campaigns client onboarding activities and service delivery timelines.
  • Support logistics for internal and external meetings workshops interviews and company events.
  • Participate in operational meetings record meeting minutes and follow up on assigned action points.
  • Coordinate office errands document deliveries and operational logistics.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Liaise with vendors suppliers service providers and business partners to facilitate smooth office operations.
  • Coordinate deliveries pickups procurement requests and other administrative activities.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Cross-Functional Support

  • Work closely with the HR Finance IT and Administration teams on operational initiatives.
  • Provide administrative support across departments whenever required.
  • Assist with cross-functional projects that improve organizational efficiency.

Recruitment & HR Support

  • Support candidate sourcing and application screening when required.
  • Coordinate interview schedules and candidate communications.
  • Assist with recruitment documentation and onboarding activities.
  • Provide general support to recruitment operations during peak hiring periods.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's Degree HND BTS or Diploma in one of the following fields:

  • Business Administration
  • Management
  • Project Management
  • Operations Management
  • Economics
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Logistics
  • Or any related discipline.

Skills & Competencies

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Strong interest in operations management business administration and process improvement.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in both English and French (written and spoken) is mandatory.
  • Ability to multitask prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • High level of professionalism accountability and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude adaptability and willingness to learn.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite:
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Microsoft Word
    • Microsoft PowerPoint
    • Microsoft Outlook
  • Ability to prepare operational reports and presentations.
  • Basic knowledge of digital collaboration and project management tools is an added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with any of the following will have an added advantage:

  • Previous internship or volunteer experience in operations administration or project coordination.
  • Basic knowledge of recruitment and HR processes.
  • Familiarity with business process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience coordinating projects or administrative activities.
  • Knowledge of office inventory management and operational reporting.
