Senior HR Specialist
Job Summary
Overview
We are looking for a Senior HR Specialist to support end-to-end HR operations in a dynamic environment with a strong focus on Workday and continuous process improvement.
This role requires strong HR operations expertise as well as experience with Workday and process automation to improve efficiency strengthen data accuracy and enhance the overall employee and manager experience.
Location: Sofia Bulgaria

Responsibilities
HR Administration & Employee Lifecycle
- Manage the full employee lifecycle including onboarding employment changes and terminations
- Ensure accurate and compliant maintenance of employee records
- Coordinate with external payroll provide on registrations updates and payroll-related data changes
Workday & HR Systems
- Support and help optimize Workday-related HR processes enabling employees and managers to use the system effectively for self-service and HR transactions
- Act as a key Workday user ensuring accurate timely and compliant execution of all HR transactions
- Own data quality and governance within Workday ensuring consistency integrity and audit readiness
- Contribute to HR systems improvements process automation and standardization initiatives that enhance efficiency data quality and the employee and manager experience
Payroll & Data Management
- Prepare and validate payroll input data (bonuses absences benefits etc.)
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of HR data for payroll processing
- Act as a key point of coordination between HR HRIS Legal and payroll provider
Employee Support & HR Requests
- Manage HR requests and documentation through ticketing systems
- Support the Senior HR Manager with HR projects process improvement initiatives and selected automation activities
Absence & Compliance Management
- Ensure proper documentation and timely submission to relevant authorities
- Coordinate Occupational Health & Safety activities and reporting
- Maintain compliance with local labor regulations and internal policies
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HR administration and employee lifecycle management within a corporate environment
- Exposure to payroll processes and coordination
- Good knowledge of Bulgarian labor law and related HR procedures
- Strong hands-on experience with Workday (or similar HRIS)
- Demonstrated ability to work with digital tools and improve HR processes
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Excellent command of English both written and spoken
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience in process automation and continuous improvement with the ability to streamline HR processes drive efficiencies and implement practical digital solutions that enhance employee and manager experience is highly valued
