Chief Operations Officer Payments & Fintech
Job Summary
Our partner is looking for an experienced Chief Operations Officer Payments & Fintech to take ownership of company operations and support the next stage of growth. The role will focus on building scalable processes improving operational efficiency leading teams and ensuring strong coordination across payments customer operations finance legal and commercial functions.
The successful person will work closely with the CEO on business strategy oversee key operational priorities and manage relationships with PSPs payment partners vendors and key clients. The role requires strong payments knowledge leadership experience and the ability to operate effectively in a growing and changing environment.
The position is based in Sofia Bulgaria and relocation is required. (Relocation is provided by the company)
As a Chief Operating Officer your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Lead company operations and execution
Turn strategy into operational plans
Scale processes systems and teams
Oversee Payments and Customer Service operations
Manage PSP vendor client and partner relationships
Ensure KYC KYB AML and regulatory compliance
Establish KPIs and operational reporting
Improve efficiency and resolve operational bottlenecks
Lead hiring and team development
Manage budgets and resource planning
Fluency in Hebrew is required both written and spoken
4 years operations leadership
Payments fintech or financial services experience
Experience scaling operations
Strong payment processing knowledge
KYC KYB AML and payments knowledge
KPI and reporting experience
Team and stakeholder management
Startup or growth company experience
Strong English
Willingness to relocate to Sofia
Experience managing payment operations PSP relationships customer operations regulatory processes and growing teams would be particularly valuable.
