Enterprise Architect (Brazil Chile)
Job Summary
Position
Serve as the primary strategic partner to leadership ensuring concrete transformations across the digital ecosystem. This role guarantees sustainability consistency and executive alignment fostering smooth communication and the negotiation of technical and strategic decisions from managing the team to direct engagement with the Head of Architecture and other organizational stakeholders.
Key Objectives
Ensure the evolution of the architecture strategy in alignment with business objectives balancing global optimization with local optimization.
Drive the evolution of the architecture discipline strengthening and creating shared practices across architecture teams.
Transparency and Governance of Decisions: Ensure architecture decisions are visible easy to understand reversible when appropriate and made in the right forums (strategy technology investment and design).
Strategic Translation: Facilitate leadership architecture teams and technical teams understanding of the domain strategy accelerating execution aligned with that strategy.
Operational Consistency: Manage architecture teams so they operate consistently in sync with agility sustainably and in proper alignment with leadership.
Main Responsibilities
Scale best practices across the company: Identify solutions and approaches that can be replicated or adapted within your scope of work and across the entire company.
Ensure the continuous evolution of the Architecture Ecosystem: Keep the domains Business Capability Model aligned with processes/systems updating landscapes and inventories to support technical decision-making.
Co-build Roadmaps: Collaborate on coordinate and socialize roadmaps that clearly outline initiatives contributions to capabilities dependencies and target states.
Architectural Leadership: Lead enterprise architecture decisions contracts and dependency management across different journeys and domains. Propose and negotiate architecture priorities.
Initiative Follow-up: Track projects from options evaluation through implementation ensuring adherence to standards and the existing ecosystem.
Work Model
Location: Brazil or Chile
The position can be based in Brazil (office in the Congonhas region São Paulo) or Chile (Santiago) in a hybrid model with 1 to 2 in-office days per week.
Mandatory Requirements
Experience leading enterprise architecture or corporate architecture
Proven track record in technology decision-making: buy vs. build vendor selection business case development investment evaluation
Experience in architecture governance: documenting trade-offs standardization committees and decision-making forums
Experience coordinating roadmaps across multiple teams identifying overlaps and negotiating synergies
People management experience with willingness to work in a 50% technical / 50% management capacity
Fluent English
Nice to Have
Prior experience in an airline airport or travel tech company
Knowledge of the passenger journey sales force and customer service
A career path that includes engineering and/or solution architecture before moving into enterprise architecture
Experience in a multi-country environment with headquarters-versus-local-operation tension
Experience defining where and how to apply AI agents based on application criticality
Enterprise architecture frameworks and tools (TOGAF ArchiMate LeanIX Ardoq)
