Senior Manager FP&A , Digital Technologies

We are seeking a highly skilled and collaborative Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis to lead the consolidation governance and global analysis of Digital Technology spending across MARS Inc. Beyond consolidating digital technology spend the Sr. Manager will lead planning forecasting and integrated reconciliation processes creating executive-level insights and recommendations that drive strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate brings an enterprise mindset a continuous improvement orientation and the interpersonal skills to build trust across all levels of the organization.

What are we looking for

Education

• Required: Bachelors degree in engineering Accounting Finance or a related field.

• Preferred: FP&A and Strategic Finance background.

• MBA CPA or equivalent years of experience in finance or business-related areas.

Experience

• 815 years of progressive FP&A or finance/accounting experience ideally within a large matrixed organization with multiple business segments or divisions.

• Demonstrated experience managing or consolidating budgets across decentralized financial structures including exposure to both centrally managed and segment-managed spend.

• Experience with technology or digital spend categories (SaaS software licensing infrastructure etc.) is a strong plus; a highly capable FP&A generalist with a curiosity for technology will also thrive.

Skills & Competencies

• Advanced financial modeling skills with demonstrated ability to build scalable insight-driven models.

• Strong command of financial systems and tools including the ability to navigate complex ERP environments such as SAP Oracle or Workday.

• Proficiency in BI and reporting tools such as Power BI Tableau or Adaptive Insights.

• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; working knowledge of automation techniques and tools.

• Proven ability to build trust and influence without direct authority this role requires strong interpersonal skills to work effectively across segments and functions.

• Exceptional analytical skills with a proven ability to connect data to business issues drive decisions and implement change.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to present complex financial data to senior leadership in a clear compelling narrative.

What will be your key responsibilities

Digital Technology Spend Consolidation

• Build and maintain a comprehensive consolidated view of digital technology spending across all business segments and central functions ensuring accuracy and consistency in how costs are categorized and reported.

• Partner with segment finance Digital Technology Leads and MGS and DT team members to understand locally managed technology investments establish common definitions and reporting standards and align on a shared consolidation methodology.

• Navigate complex financial systems and data environments to extract reconcile and validate spend data from multiple sources including ERP systems cost centers and segment reporting tools.

• Identify opportunities to reduce redundancy improve transparency and drive efficiency in how digital technology resources are allocated across the enterprise.

• Support value realization and productivity consolidation and monitor vs targets.

Financial Planning & Strategic Initiatives

• Manage coordination planning and communication of activities and ensure timely submission of DT spending in Anaplan.

• Support leadership by managing strategy development and analysis projects incorporating the financial impacts of digital investments testing and confirming resource allocation is consistent with priorities and ensuring work streams are delivered on time and on budget.

• Identify business risks and opportunities and make recommendations for future actions.

• Support financial integration of newly onboarded technology platforms or acquired businesses as a member of a project team including establishing financial processes and impact analysis.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Produce and present periodic consolidated financial reporting on digital technology spending including actuals versus budget risks/opportunities and business analysis with actionable recommendations to the DT FLT and DTLT.

• Develop forecasting models budget frameworks and variance analyses that provide leadership with actionable insight into digital technology spend trends and risks.

• Provide written insights to key stakeholders including the Leadership Team and Regional and Global leaders on financial performance on a period quarterly and annual basis inclusive of results challenges and future actions.

• Collaborate with MGS DT and segment finance leads to understand historic and future investment cost profiles maintain a mid-term financial shaping model and flag financial risks and opportunities against actual performance.

• Identify and develop signature analytical tools and frameworks that enable strategic decisions including partnering with Business Partner Solutions (BPS) teams on automating reports.

Process Improvement & Technology

• Bring a continuous improvement perspective to all FP&A processes embracing technology new methodologies and automation to improve speed accuracy and insight generation.

• Challenge existing processes define new and more efficient solutions and apply best practices in a standard and scalable way across segments.

• Support high-profile ad-hoc financial projects as needed demonstrating flexibility and sound judgment under pressure.
