Senior Engineering Manager LATAM Grid Automation
Job Summary
This role is accountable for leading a regional multidisciplinary organization responsible for the full engineering and post-sales support lifecycle including Technical Leadership & Design Manufacturing FAT & Training Engineering Services / SAT / Commissioning Cluster coordination and Technical Support.
The role requires a leader who combines technical depth operational rigor customer focus and people leadership to ensure safe high-quality and predictable delivery for utilities industrial customers and infrastructure operators across Latin America.
Essential Responsibilities
This role is accountable for leading a regional multidisciplinary organization responsible for the full engineering and post-sales support lifecycle including Technical Leadership & Design Manufacturing FAT & Training Engineering Services / SAT / Commissioning Cluster coordination and Technical Support.
The role requires a leader who combines technical depth operational rigor customer focus and people leadership to ensure safe high-quality and predictable delivery for utilities industrial customers and infrastructure operators across Latin America.
- Lead engineering activities for substation automation and P&C systems from design through validation and field support
- Ensure technical quality compliance and consistency across projects and countries
- Oversee resource planning workload balance and management and execution governance
- Support strong delivery performance across safety quality schedule and cost
- Support Tendering and Sourcing teams to prepare competitive offers for system solutions
- Lead the after-sales technical support function for Grid Automation products and solutions
- Maintain high customer satisfaction through responsiveness and ownership
- Implement and sustain standard operating models checklists work instructions and E2E initiatives
- Improve engineering FAT SAT and services quality through standardization and discipline
- Drive Lean mindset KPI management and continuous improvement actions
- Support productivity cost control and execution reliability
- Proactively pursue operational efficiency and cost-reduction opportunities converting those gains into stronger commercial competitiveness through ongoing cost-base alignment with the tendering team.
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering Automation and Control Engineering.
- Postgraduate qualification in project management business or related field
- Strong experience in Grid Automation Protection & Control / substation automation
- Proven leadership experience in engineering technical support operations or project execution
- Experience in FAT SAT manufacturing commissioning and field services.
- Experience with technical support for hardware/software solutions in critical infrastructure
- Familiarity with digitalization process governance and performance management
- Fluent Portuguese Spanish and English required.
