At CGI we are looking for a Data Engineer to join an international project.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering Information Systems or a related field.
- Conversational English level B2 or higher.
- 6 Years of Experience.
SQL & Enterprise Data Warehousing:
- Advanced SQL development.
- Data Warehouse architecture.
- Data modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas).
- Query optimization.
- Enterprise reporting environments.
- Data quality and governance.
ETL / Data Engineering:
- ETL/ELT development.
- Data pipeline development.
- Batch processing.
- Data integration.
- Data migration.
- Performance optimization.
SAP:
- SAP data integration.
- SAP data structures.
- SAP reporting environments.
- Experience supporting SAP-driven data ecosystems.
Additional Technical Skills:
- Python or similar scripting language.
- Git/version control.
- Experience with enterprise data platforms.
- Production support and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze enterprise data warehouse solutions supporting global business operations.
- Analyze SQL-based data models ETL processes and enterprise data integration pipelines.
- Document both of the above items into an inventory of data products & dependencies.
- Work with SAP data sources and integrate enterprise systems into the organizations data platform.
- Troubleshoot and optimize complex data transformation processes ensuring data quality and performance.
- Collaborate with global business and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver data solutions.
- Support production environments through root cause analysis issue resolution and continuous improvements.
- Leverage AI-powered productivity tools to improve documentation analysis reporting and engineering efficiency.
- Contribute to data governance data quality and best practices across enterprise data platforms.
Nice to have:
- Food & Agriculture industry experience.
- Cloud data platforms (AWS Azure GCP).
- Databricks.
- Snowflake.
- Informatica.
- Talend.
- Power BI or Tableau.
- Salesforce (SFDC) data integration.
- AI-assisted productivity tools (ChatGPT GitHub Copilot Microsoft Copilot Gemini).
Additional Skills:
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent SQL and data problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with global teams.
- Self-starter who continuously learns and embraces new technologies and AI tools.
