Job Summary

The role holder is expected to acquire retain and grow a diversified and not sophisticated portfolio of Multinational customers for HSBC adhering to the Group values business strategy operational policies regulatory requirements and risk management corporate segment is core to CIB and this position is required to maximize the value of these relationships internationally by working closely with group offices and product partners.

The individual will be evaluated on their ability to both successfully defend and service existing business as well as to originate new value added transactions for assigned clients. We expect the individual to help us up tier access and deepen our strategic dialogue with key decision makers at our clients.

In addition to the commercial aspects of the position the selected candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the relationship management function for their coverage portfolioincluding oversight of credit KYC and/or internal projects and initiatives as they arise.

Responsibilities:

  • Beresponsible for ensuring the delivery of the best-in-class customer experience in line with the Corporate strategy and financial plan.
  • Be aligned with the Global Relationship Manager regarding the global strategy of multinational customers.
  • Manage internal and external regulatory and operational requirements.
  • Be responsible for managing customer relationships and a large client portfolio and with the support of sales managers of Product Partners will provide the best solutions to customers.
  • Manage a large portfolio of low-revenue Multinational Companies Relationships.
  • Contribute to building HSBCs coverage franchise and reputation in the marketplace.
  • Adhere to strict risk guidelines for lending and market exposure and ensure that we are comfortable with credit quality & RoRWA returns.
  • Deliver innovative solutions to clients needs across all product lines gaining significant ancillary business and above hurdle RoRWA returns for the Group.
  • Understand follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant HSBC internal and external rules regulations and procedures that apply to business conduct specifically Internal Controls and Compliance policies.
  • Maintain HSBC internal control standards including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.

Qualifications

  • Track record of managing clients and new business origination skills.
  • Strong connection with senior client contacts
  • Significant experience with IFRS / financial statements company valuations capital structure ratings funding / capital markets and investments.
  • Knowledge of Credit ISDA / CSA documentation risk management and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Product expertise in Global Markets (FX Rates Equity Derivatives DCM ECM Loan Markets) and transaction services (GTRF cash management and securities services).
  • Proven ability to win mandates across a full range of products.
  • Strong sales and customer service orientation with self-motivation.
  • Well organized with an analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Able to cope well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Degree in Finance Math Business Administration or related field plus 10 years of experience at a global financial services company. (Advanced degree i.e. Masters level is a plus).
  • Strong team player and collaborative with colleagues across HSBCs global platform.
  • High level of integrity and act as a role model for all HSBC values and business principles.
  • C-Pro R certification.
  • Proficiency in both English and Portuguese.
