The Impact:

As a Rating Analyst you will support the end-to-end rating process for complex securitizations in Latin America and esoteric ABS transactions in the US directly influencing capital market decisions and investor confidence. This role blends research and quantitative and qualitative analytical skills client-facing interactions and project management. Your analyticalexpertisewill support rating outcomes through comprehensive cash flow modeling credit assessment and structural analysis under various economic scenarios. The Rating Analyst is expected to support senior analysts on credit rating committees and interact with bankersissuersand investors on analytical matters. Furthermore you will playan important rolein improving our analytical tools and streamlining our processes by drawing on computer and data science skills.You will take accountability for individual and team targets while providing guidance and clarification to support the team in delivering quality work.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the end-to-end ratings process for newissueand surveillance transactions

  • Perform cash flow analysis synthesize results and present findingsin a timely mannerin committees for securitization in Latin America and esoteric assets including transportation ABS private equity triple net lease properties data centers time-share and whole business securitizations

  • Analyze credit cash flow and performance characteristics of collateral pools; review third-party model output and reconcile with cash flow results from internal models

  • Review legal and operating documents to ensure consistency with criteria andidentifyissues with the transaction structure; provide comments to external parties

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of ratings criteria and cash flow analysis and effectively handle clients analytical questions

  • Take ownership of process improvements and contribute to the development of new analytical tools

  • Leverage AI and automation tools to enhance analytical processes including automated data extraction pattern recognition in credit performance and machine learning-assisted risk assessment models

  • Contribute to team initiatives to improve efficiencies in the relative business area while resolving varied and non-routine issues

  • All employeesmustwork from the office at least 2 daysperweek

What Were Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 2 years of relevant work experience preferably within a Structured Finance Ratings capacity; prior work experience working with esoteric ABS or emerging asset classes and prior structured finance ratings experience is a plus

  • Bachelors degreerequired;

  • Fluency in English Portuguese and Spanishrequired

  • Strongproficiencywith Excel Word and PowerPoint

  • Experience with cash flow modeling for esoteric assets

  • Understanding of financial markets and structured finance principles

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent research skills

  • Ability to analyze and solve complex non-routine problems with ingenuity ina timelyand insightful manner

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines under time pressure

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a collaborative team

  • Diligent and intellectually curious self-starter with a strong work ethic and a drive to succeed

  • Proven ability to work independently whilemaintaininghigh standardsof accuracy and attention to detail

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of cash flow modeling and programming languagessuch asPython RorVBA

  • Advanced Excel skills including VBA and complex financial modeling

  • CFA or CAIA designationsor steps completedwould be a plus

  • Experience with AI and machine learning applications in financial analysis including automated data processing and predictive modeling tools
