The purpose of this role is to ensure a wide range of new and existing client print production projects are managed effectively and efficiently. The successful candidate will supervise day-to-day print department operations including policy procedure labor utilization cost quality and capacity while often working against very tight deadlines.
This role provides oversight technical leadership and day-to-day management for a small team dedicated to delivering high-volume projects from initial brief to completion. Responsibilities include acting as a core liaison managing production workflows ensuring product launch timelines and optimizing operational costs.
This position requires strong client-facing communication a solid understanding of diverse printing processes and people management skills. The ideal candidate will be highly customer-focused capable of mentoring a team and comfortable driving quality and consistency within a fast-paced print production environment.
To provide superior print production management and service excellence in coordination with the regional leadership teams:
Understand corporate guidelines thoroughly and brief jobs clearly to the corresponding cell units.
Take comprehensive project briefs and strictly follow established procedures for costing and quoting.
Serve as the key primary liaison between the client and SgX.
Work directly with clients and printers to collate all required technical information to initiate jobs.
Contribute deep technical print knowledge in pre-production meetings and brief off-site production cells.
Liaise directly with printers to resolve any print technical issues and periodically gather the latest printer specifications.
Manage and track end-to-end projects from initial artwork design through to final print execution ensuring product launch timelines are met.
Operate and oversee day-to-day print shop operations under strict deadline constraints.
Promote service and consistently exceed customer expectations through proactive vigilance regarding present and future client needs.
Research and implement process improvements in setup procedures to drive cost optimization.
Monitor and improve the overall quality consistency and execution of all print deliverables.
Manage labor utilization and effectively plan direct and coordinate team activities to ensure goals are accomplished.
Mentor coach train and develop team members executing supervisory responsibilities including formal staff performance reviews.
Support the development of department policies and procedures as well as company-sponsored events.
Participate in CAR (Corrective Action Request) investigations and utilize client-appointed systems to record all completed quality checks.
Other ad-hoc projects and responsibilities as assigned by Site Cell or Lead Management.

Solid print knowledge spanning different printing processes including Flexo Offset Dry offset Gravure etc.
High proficiency in MS Office Suite Outlook and internet applications.
Basic knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite with a mandatory basic understanding of Photoshop (CS6 or above).
Experience working in mixed end-user environments (PC and Macintosh) is considered an asset.
Strong presentation budgeting and client service/sales skills.
This person will have frequent contact with:
Clients to effectively manage requirements translate needs into workable solutions and maintain proactive relationships.
Printers and External Suppliers to exchange technical specifications resolve print issues and monitor production quality.
Internal Off-site Production Cells and Supporting Departments to coordinate workflows from artwork design through to final print.
Assigned Team Members to provide ongoing mentoring coaching training and performance management.
Lead Print Production Cell and Site Management for reporting escalation and alignment on operational goals.

Educational & Experience Minimum RequirementsThis position requires the following knowledge and skills:
Academic Qualification: Bachelors Degree in Business Graphic Arts Print/Packaging Production or a related field. Professional Qualification: Must successfully pass the Farnsworth-Munsell Hue Test. 6 years of progressive print production experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 3 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role (direct or indirect) with prior managerial experience preferred. Language Ability: Native fluency in Portuguese is required. Professional fluency in either English or Spanish is also required.
Work Model: Hybrid with visits to our office to the customer and/or printer if needed. Occasional local national and/or international travel required
