The Merchant will handle a moderately complex supplier base and fulfill transactions delivering commodities that meet production requirements and specifications in terms of timing volume quantity and this role you will buy and sell commodities from and to port terminals producers and processors.
- Collaborate with transportation and logistics quality assurance customer managers and credit manager to ensure efficient execution.
- Drive physical commodity trading negotiations ensuring full compliance with sustainability and quality requirements.
- Enter routine data and run specialty reports from our contract management databases and systems.
- Research and analyze supply and demand fundamentals and seek opportunities in the marketplace to maximize margin.
- Work directly with customers suppliers and business counterparts to meet their needs in solving routine problems and addressing complaints and concerns.
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Other duties as assigned
- Solid experience in sourcing and commodity procurement negotiations
- Experience managing relationships with suppliers and clients with a focus on strategic partnerships
- Knowledge of sustainability practices applied to agribusiness
- Familiarity with Power BI for data analysis is a plus
- Advanced English with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Availability to work in a hybrid model at the São Paulo/SP office (3 times per week)
