Skills and Competencies
3-5 years of experience in credit analysis with a strong focus on credit risk assessment and evaluation within financial services ratings agencies asset management consulting or public accounting environments.
Solid understanding of credit fundamentals and macroeconomic principles applying both quantitative and qualitative analysis to assess risk and support decision-making.
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with exceptional attention to detail ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills capable of presenting complex analytical conclusions clearly and tailoring messages to diverse audiences.
Collaborative and proactive team player able to take ownership of research assignments contribute to analytical discussions and effectively manage responsibilities and deadlines.
Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel Word PowerPoint) with experience in financial model development workflow automation data analysis and process optimization. Experience with statistical or econometric tools such as EViews is advantageous.
Professional fluency in English (written and spoken); Spanish is a plus.
Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use.
Education
Bachelors degree in Finance Economics Accounting Business Administration Engineering or a related discipline.
Progress toward or interest in an advanced degree or professional certification (e.g. CFA) is preferred.
Responsibilities
This role is responsible for managing and analyzing a portfolio of Latin American non-financial corporate credits supporting high-quality rating opinions and insightful research outcomes for global market participants.
Manage a portfolio of Latin American non-financial corporate issuers primarily across the REIT industrial and consumer sectors.
Conduct quantitative and qualitative credit assessments using financial statements economic data market trends and relevant legal documentation.
Perform initial and ongoing credit analysis monitor issuer performance and recommend rating actions when appropriate.
Lead new issuance rating assignments including refinancing M&A and other financing transactions and present rating recommendations to committees.
Independently lead issuer meetings on-site visits and interactions with investors and bankers requiring limited oversight.
Produce high-quality credit research on issuers industry trends and sector developments to support rating decisions and market insights.
Build and maintain strong relationships with issuers and investors representing the organization through outreach activities conferences and client engagements.
Mentor and develop rating associates promoting analytical excellence professional growth and consistent research quality.

The Corporate Finance Group provides independent credit opinions on a broad range of non-financial corporate issuers supporting transparency and confidence in global capital markets. The Brazil team combines strong local market expertise with global analytical standards working in a highly collaborative environment to deliver insightful forward-looking research while continuously enhancing analytical approaches through data technology and innovation.
