Employee Relations Manager, Global Corporate Employee Relations AWS
Job Summary

Key job responsibilities
The individual will:
Manage labor relations frameworks for countries across AWS LATAM
Partner with business leaders and human resources teams to create and sustain positive employee relationships and best practices
Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across LATAM to align drive and execute employee and labor relations strategies and initiatives
Provide expert consultation and coaching to HR managers and business leaders on complex employee matters
Conduct employee experience assessments and monitor workforce sentiment indicators to proactively identify pain points develop targeted mitigation strategies and address employee concerns at the earliest opportunity
Work directly with Amazon employees at all levels to identify address and resolve concerns through mechanisms like listening sessions focus groups conflict resolution and one-on-one coaching
Diagnose gaps and revise people programs policies and practices to sustain positive Employee Relations and proactively mitigate risk
Design and deliver training programs on positive employee relations and leadership best practices in partnership with Employment Legal teams
Analyze and synthesize a variety of data sources to identify emerging trends predictive patterns and areas of opportunity across employee relations domains
Translate insights into actionable and compelling recommendations for business leaders through regular reporting requirements; actively engage AI tooling to augment Employee Relations reporting analysis and process improvements
Assist in strategic business writing or contributing/leading the development of business operational documents and strategic initiatives
Successfully manage and resolve conflicts at all levels of the organization in partnership with HR
The individual will also work reactively on critical employee relations issues that are crisis-oriented and escalated by business leadership and/or HR. These matters are often time-sensitive requiring swift resolution under pressure. Balancing time between strategic projects and crisis-response is a critical component for success in this role.
This position reports to the Director AWS Employee Relations is based in Sao Paulo Brazil and is a full-time role that may require significant travel up to 40% of the time over the course of the year to various Amazon locations.
- Experience in employee relations labor relations or labor/employment law
- Speak write and read fluently in English at C1 level or above
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel Word SharePoint and PowerPoint)
- Experience in written and oral communication including the ability to communicate with all levels in the organization (technical business executive)
- Experience handling confidential information and maintaining professionalism in dealing with senior executives or experience completing complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance and react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround
- Speak write and read fluently in Portuguese
- LATAM multi-country Employee and Labor Relations experience
- Speak write and read fluently in Spanish
- Experience with employee engagement frameworks and/or collective bargaining across multiple LATAM countries grounded in an understanding of each countrys unique employment laws
- International Employee and Labor Relations experience
- Lead and manage complex workplace investigations into allegations of discrimination harassment retaliation and other policy violations; ensure investigations are thorough timely well-documented and result in fair defensible outcomes
- Advanced degree law degree or other specialized training in employee relations
- Experience using quantitative and qualitative data to conduct organizational risk assessments with demonstrated ability to identify when individual employee issues signal broader systemic risk
